All,
Late afternoon diffused light, as well diffusion from billowing water spray and a slight mist on the lens allowed me to make this image of my favourite waterfall -- Stirling Falls.
Double-processed RAW blend for luminance in certain elements.
Slightly higher resolution available here (http://users.tpg.com.au/octane2/gar.html).
Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1/50s f/5.6 at 17.0mm iso400
Comments, critique, etc., most welcome.

Beautiful H !!
The colour of the pool at bottom of the falls is magnificent, could jump in there right now. ;)

Inspirational picture.
Thank you for including the shooting information settings. Helps me to learn how to set up my shots.
Can you explain how you improved on the original?

Love your work H. Colours are great . My only peave is the little patch of blue sky does nothing for me and perhaps compositional-wise, I wonder how it would have looked with the falls dead-centre...but that's just me :)

Liz,
Thanks!
Barry,
Nah, this is in New Zealand. If only we could be so lucky to have beautiful falls like this locally, without having to travel to Western Australia. Cheers!
Peter,
Not a problem. In the original RAW file, the sky was overexposed. So, I took the original RAW, made a copy and stopped the image down enough so that the blue sky would show through. I then blended the sky from the second image into the first using layer masks.
Adam,
Yeah, you're right, it does nothing for it. Perhaps this would have worked if it was early morning and the sky was a paler blue or purple. Even some light clouds could have made a big difference. But, then, we don't get a say in these things!
Frank,
Cheers!
Thanks, everyone.
