On Tuesday, ABC Western Plains came and visited the 3RF event at
Coonabarabran and interviewed several attendees and hosts, including Lachlan MacDonald.

With many exchange visits between Australian and North American observers over the
past few years, there are now very close ties between enthusiasts on both
sides of the Pacific. With the sponsorship of 3RF, these ties are becoming
closer and closer and we have been successful in hosting dozens of North
American observers at a time. The 3RF event here has one main focus, which is to
help northern hemisphere observers experience southern skies and many of our
North American friends are now making return trips.

For towns like Coonabarabran, it has also helped inject some money into the
local economy.

Congratulations to all our volunteer friends for a job well done and we are proud to be
part of it.
