I know lots of you are aware of this - but it is something worth celebrating :-)))))

i note in the montage image they included the shot of Comet NEAT (C/2002 V1) rounding the sun in LASCO C3 - that was a very exciting period of action for me http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/gallery/top10/top10_detail_NEAT_c3.html

I love SOHO too, I don't think it's unnatural.

Just amazing images it produces, and it's given us such a greater understanding of our star.

No, who?

does anyone remember the nail biting period in '98 when they thought they had lost it - it had frozen solid (-50C) and they had to slowly defrost it using the sun - awesome! - that was up there with apollo 13 imo for ingenuity

its a shame you cant backorder those yearbooks - coz they contain so much amateur aussie history - they go way beyond a mere yearbook imo ;( i constntly refer back to them (11 years worth now) for various reasons
i dont know about the legalities of reproducing it here?

Let's see if Terry wants to tell it again himself :)

I don't think it's a good idea to reproduce it here.. although Glenn might be able to advise?
