C8 SCT f/10
Canon 40D 10x10min subs, 10x1min subs and 10x2min subs with darks
Processed in IP

Shot in Melbourne...

M83 would be better with f/6.3 or ED80 I think

M83 at f6.3 on an ED80 is very small

this FOV is fine

The first two images are fine Rob, M83 though is out of focus.

In processing just check your histogram for black point clipping. The sky background should be slightly grey not black. If you clip the blackpoint too much you lose quite a lot of data.

Keep at it.
