Hi Frank
Your pain is well felt. Perfect skies here at 6am - set up for some solar - as soon as the Sun rose over the roof - cloud - only one - a big one! It is now 8am and I have given up!

Yeah same here, i stuck my head out a few times and was able to spot a few things inbetween the clouds. But no point in dragging the scope out for it... settled back with a few beers instead.
Love that quote in your sig JJJ
I noticed the same cloud layer as well Frank.
It stuck around all night and turned into drizzle this morning.

Tonight isn't looking that much better either...
I think it'll be movie time again tonight...

Hey Frank, last night was a beauty.
It was crystal clear from about 1:00 am onwards.
Pity it was a weeknight.

Melbourne is going back to its traditional weather patterns with showers and general wintry weather forecast everyday as soon as my days off begin
Well, I just had 2 clear nights, so I guess that will be balanced out with 2 overcast months.
The Pilbara has my name written all over it.
Winter in the Pilbara, freezing cold and crystal clear.
Heaven

Winter in the Pilbara is as warm as summer in Melbourne, or perhaps even warmer. Once you get in the Kimberely, every month of the year averages over 30C.
From my experience from working in the desert areas doing surveys during the day it's beautiful but once the Sun sets the temp usually plummets as well.
