Hi all, I took this image of the Crux/Centaurus region a couple of days ago with my Canon S5IS.
There are lots of great objects in this field. Mid left center is Omega Centauri and Centaurus A, and above Crux is Lambda Centauri Nebula. The Jewel Box is also visible, and of course Coal Sack etc. I love this piece of the sky, there is so much to look at in the scope :)

My Canon is not modded so the image is not super crisp, but thought I'd share it anyway. Hope you enjoy!

Rolf

Nice job Rolf!
Always love wide fields. Good to see where things are located to each other.
Our southern horizon is just beautiful..... pity I can't image in that direction at the moment.... bloody wind.... still punching along at knotts.

Cheers
Rich

Thanks Rich, yes the south area is just stunning. I live on a hill side which blocks my western horizon, but I always enjoy the view to the south.

Rolf
