Well this maybe my last for this waning session, getting up at 1:00am is a bit much for me.

Anyway here is a few shots but I did an experiment on a couple of them by inverting. On the full moon inverted image I noticed a discolouration on the southern end. This does show on the main image but not as noticable and really didn't see it until inverting.

Wondering if anyone can explain what that is?

BTW the inverted image is overly saturated to define colours.

Other than that the main reason for this session was to try and acheive focus but using the camera not a computer. 1:00am is just too much to set-up a laptop when you have to start work to 6:00am the next day.
I thin I acheive it although there is a bit of Registax wavelets and processing compared to normal. Small steps though and eventaully I will acheve good single shot focus.

Thankyou for looking.

Love the negative image!
The others are good too...but the negative had me wisked off to some far distant planet, one that had strayed close to its thermonuclear neighbour.

Great images, Malcolm. A lot of good stuff there.

The inverted one looks excellent as a different take on the Moon. It makes it look like Ganymede! :)

The inverted image is interesting, it was was just playing around but I noticed around ARISTARCHUS (more specifically TOSCANELLI) the colouration is different compared to the rest of the moon.

I was sort of curious as to why this would appear. Looking at the postive image need to carefully look and can see a very tiny colouration.

Although harder to see BABBAGE A also shows the same discolouration.

I used Virtual Moon Atlas to check these names.

Thanks for the comments, feels good to get a decent focus. Was able to get at least 20 images to stack for this.
