Took delivery of a Lunt LS60Ha a few days ago. Took it out this morning and between clouds managed to get the attached with my Nikon D200. Grateful for any comments or tips. Had trouble focusing so put a mask with 2 holes in it over the scope's objective and focused so could see 1 image but it still seams a bit unsharp. Fiddled with levels etc in photoshop.

Hi Mark - that is a very encouraging first image!
There is a learning curve with new stuff so stick at it.
I image with a DMK so I am unfamiliar with the Nikon D200.
To assist in focus - increase exposure and try to obtain a very crisp limb (on the camera LCD monitor) - reduce exposure and see if you have achieved a good focus.
My Lunt 60mm should be here this week - very exciting!
A good first shot and I like the colour - is it 'natural' or added in PS.
It helped for locating closeup features posted at IIS by other members.
