Hi all, I am developing a strong interest in historic observing. One of the keys I need to move the quest to the next level is a down loadable version of the 4 volume 'RESULTS OF ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATIONS MADE DURING THE YEARS 1834-8 AT THE CAPE OF GOOD HOPE' as penned by Sir John Herschel.

I can find many references to it but no electronic copy. Barring the 4 volumes a data base of his sketches from South Africa would also work.

I have learned that most reasonable quality 14 / 16" reflectors with a narrow fov ep will get me close to what he was seeing but I need his descriptions and sketches to compare what I am seeing to what he saw.

Any and all help greatly appreciated
Brian
