my first mars, why so green?

Why is this image so green, the moon was out and its from the suburbs.

If this was a colour camera, then you should try turning off automatic features like white balance and setting them by hand instead.

Camera is dkm ccd , yeah auto white balance etc, i think mars is alot harder than saturn or jupiter..

Are you sure DKM? Is it a DFK or DBK?

The white balance can also be corrected in processing afterwards to tone down the yellow/green and give it more red.
