This won't be everyone's cup of tea but its kind of striking.
A work in progress really and just an interesting tidbit image.
I pulled the link as I did another version which is more the final
image although is M42 ever really a wrap?

Yeah... After looking at the past few shots from Vela, this is a bit :eek:
The pallet seems ok, However I don't know about using the SII as a L. It definitely highlights some interesting structure within the nebula...
M42 is one target that just never looks great in Narrowband... Anything that is prominently Ha generally looks pretty spiffy in NB, but as M42 is such a mix up of composite materials and gasses, it comes out looking like the aftermath of a nuclear explosion in NB...
Looking forward to some re-pros.. I know you can make something from the data..

No, I pulled it as it was just a tidbit image I thought was kind of striking but not a serious attempt really. Its very red.
