Amazing shot on APOD today (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap051129.html).

The full size image is worth it, it's 1 meg jpeg.

The sheer size of the remnant it is unreal.. the area in the photo covers 70 times the size of the full moon!

Imagine when Eta Carinae goes.. it'll be a sight!

That is an amazing shot! You get lost following those wispy arcs all around...:nerd:

The fact that it took a composit of 66 shots with a 48" telescope sort of gives me the impression that it might be a challenge to see in my 10" F/5 Dob :help3:
