Well this is what the country side looks like now. The fire got to within about 15 kms south of where I live & these pics were taken there today.

Pretty amazing how the grass/trees have sprung back!

A pity the people that got killed in that fire (personal friends) didn't just 'spring back to life also'.

I have a few horror stories to tell one day of this 'event'. Stories of pure heroism & guts & sacrifice too.

As with a lot of fires, it could have been avoided though. Heads are still rolling over here, & I'm talking big heads! They stuffed up.

Big time!....how could they gamble with peoples lives and futures like that.
