This image represents the first time I've produced a reasonable LRGB image with the GStar-EX.

LX90-8" @ 2000mm focal length; unguided; GStar-EX @ 128x (2.56 sec exposures) on Friday 22nd Jan 2010 (L) and Friday 19th February (RGB).

Six hundred and ten L images; 225 R; 223 G; 272 B; , Drizzle-stacked in Nebulosity and combined in Photoshop CS2.

I am not sure how I can reduce the central star bloom in this image - if anyone has ideas, I'd be pleased to hear of possible methods.

Many thanks to the other astrophotographers on this forum whose amazing images continue to impress me with new views of what's out there.

Regards,
Tony Barry

Hi Tony, terrific image!!
You need to download a copy of Loreal for those halo's.

The program is in French but it's very intuitive to use. Just remember, you need to load the image in .bmp format.
Play around with the sliders, click on the star, you'll soon get the idea.

Thank you Marc for your comments. Much appreciated.

Jeanette, thank you for the comments and the link. I use a Mac for my work, but have a PC in the shed for those odd applications which don't play cross platform. I shall try it out.

Tony Barry
