View Full Version here: : Mars, Feb 26
All,
Here is an IR image of Mars taken on the evening of the 26th in very poor conditions.

and here's the IR-G-B version. Doesn't really add much but it's always nice to see it in colour :-)

Good pic,well done!
I have been spending considerable time at the eye piece, viewing Mars.
I eventually got to see some detail, including the polar ice cap at the bottom. Its very usefull to use these pics of more advanced astronomers,to referance what i see.Suprising what a good quality 4 inch refractor does reveal in moments of good seeing,I used a Naglar 7mm T6 with 2 times barlow,to get a peak at Mars.

Looking good Bird,
Thing are only going to get better with Mars over the next several years. Looking forward to July 2018 24.3 arc sec's and at a decent altitude.
Regards
Trevor
Cant wait. The next apparition is also bad but then things start to improve...
cheers, Bird

Oh MY!
One of your best Anthony.
The IRGB one blew me away, so sharp you could cut your finger on it.
A ripper.
Cheers
Chris
