I have one optec nextgen 0.7 reducer in as new condition (used once) for sale. It is suited to well corrected systems (apo's, meade ACF scopes) but please remember this is a reducer only not a flattener. I am selling it as it does not provide a field large enough for my chip (QHY 9 KAF 8300) and if you are considering buying it your chip must fit inside an 18mm imaging circle to gain maximum benifit. I will include a mounting adaptor suitable for a starlight express SXV H9 camera which can be used with other camera's (T thread) with similar backfocus. If your camera has a different backfocus you will need to buy another adaptor or I will machine this one to suit if you require a length shorter than 1.67 inches. This reducer would be ideal for someone using a meade ACF scope with DSI camera through to an ST10 or similar. Details can be found on the following links.

To buy one locally will cost you $369 + $85 = $454. I will sell for $265 post included any where in Oz.

Hi - is this unit still available? I would use it with my Opticstar145m and 127mm ED (F7.5) scope. The chip is small enough but I wonder about backfocus as I am using an oag and filter wheel. Where would you mount the FR? I can revert to guidescope if I have to.

Regards

John.

Hi John

Forgot all about this but yes it is still for sale. How you mount this depends on your setup. Optec have a heap of options which would be worth looking at first to see if it can be done. You have about 2.39 inches to play with. See here.
