Hi guys,

Very busy with my new artistic company, i present you the reprocessed version of my Iris nebula taken in 2005. I decided to re-use the FITS files taken in 2005.

The new processing is to me better with more natural effect.

The material used was :
WO FLT-110 TEC at f/6.5 with the 4" corrector
SBIG ST-10XME
Losmandy HGM TITAN mount

The time of exposure was of 10h50min. for the luminance and 1 hour for each color filter.

At the end of the web page you can see the 2005 version processed at this time.

The link to see the full resolution crops and one 1.5x zoom of the heart of Iris :

I hope you will like it.

Warmest Regards,

Florent :)

:eyepop: That is soooo nice!:thumbsup::thumbsup: You have captured so much dust in there. Not unlike a Tom Davis' shot. And the blue hues are superb. Inspirational.

Well well, a reprocess huh? Now, you wouldn't catch me doing one of those

You have certainly improved the dusty dominance in the image, the original image was already pretty good and I liked the redish brown look to the dust but overall I think the new version is an improvement and a killer of an image and yes rather Tom Davis like

Did you ever shoot this with the ASA..?

Thank you so much guys

It was very interesting to re-process this image. I was not very happy with the 2005 processing and that's why i waited to improve my processing technics. And 5 years later........

Mike : Thanks :). Yes, i think the heart of this nebula will be interesting to take with the ASA Astrograph to have got more resolution on this part. I keep you posted about this project.

Thanks once again.

Florent :)
