I finally got my new (to me) TV85 delivered yesterday after having had to sell my first one to pay for unexpected bills. I didn't do too bad - lost about $100 and my new one is comparible to the one I sold.
Now I just got a call from someone who shall remain nameless - the car was driven from Gold Coast to Brisbane with the oil light on and now won't turn over.
Maybe it's a sign...

Oil light on = major drama.
Feel sorry for you...

What kind of car?
I drove all the way from Port Campbell to Bairnsdale with no oil at all in my Toyota.
I also tried to kill a 1964 Volvo by draining the oil and running it at high speed. No luck.
Could just need a little rest and a top-up.
Fingers crossed.

It a 2005 Honda. And no, we got the prognosis from the vet - she's stuffed
The head is cracked in three places and between the cost of a Jap Import engine or getting it welded and machined (plus the girly-car surcharge every mechanic we have dealt with so far likes to charge), it is much the same.
At least she who is remaining nameless will pay attention to giant red flashing lights in the future...
