Lunt LS50 solar filter, B600 blocking filter, Skywatcher ED80 Pro, alloy adapter plate.
The ED80 focuser is fitted with a Mercury Systems compression ring visual back and Antares twist-lock compression ring 1.25" adapter. The scope comes with its aluminium case but no finderscope/bracket. The focuser tube is the longer one for an ED100 but the original shorter tube is included.
Everything is in excellent condition. The B600 has only been used once and has otherwise been stored in a dehumidified, sealed container. The LS50 filter was purchased in late 2008.
LS50 filter/B600 blocking filter $850 + post
Filter to ED80 adapter plate $170 + post

It's a bugger getting caught with the kitty empty Peter. I need to replenish mine for the next purchase (maybe a C11, which I might trade for this gear if anyone's interested).
photo's up. I also have the rubber grips for the focuser wheels; I took them off when I first got the scope to avoid them perishing in the sun.

A little more info about the LS50 filter: it comes on-band (or tunes) with very little tilt which is ideal for a single filter system since the etalon is closest to perpendicular to the incoming light, producing the narrowest passband. The image produced is uniform across the field of view (no hot band).
If you already have a filter which comes on-band with a significant amount of tilt, this one is also likely to make a good base filter onto which you can double stack. Different degrees of tilt are required to keep ghost images outside the field of view. However you may get a hot band with the double stack - ok for visual but of concern if you want to image with the double stack.
Price reduction on the LS50/B600 to $920

Not much interest so far - any offers?
I will sell the LS50 filter without the B600 if someone wants it to double stack.

Question from IIS member: i have a lunt solar scope and have been thinking of double stacking. can u give me an idea of how this will improve my visual pleasure?
I think this filter is not likely to work for you. AFAIK, the Lunt tilt-tune scopes come on-band with minimal tilt, so you'll need a filter that tunes with a significant amount of tilt (eg. tilt wheel turned half way to the right or more) in order to avoid ghost images. In any case the best result is achieved with the double stack filter having more tilt than the base filter, and my filter tunes with very little tilt making it ideal as a base filter.
Regarding the image produced from double stack vs single filter, features on the disc (such as filaments) which appear light grey through a single filter appear black through a double stack; ie. contrast is substantially enhanced. Viewing through the double stack you'll see stuff that you weren't aware of before, but once you know what to look for the extra detail can be seen through a single filter. Double stack = features jump out at you; Single filter = sustained concentration to see those same features. A single filter is better for prominences.
My knowledge is gained from a mixture of experience and from reading forums and may contain errors. Corrections are welcome.

Last try, $850 + post.
That's about 2/3 best local advertised price and well below US new price (US$1048).
These filters offer superior performance to a pst. Adapter plates are available for most telescopes.

If a buyer picks this up there is a working CRT monitor loitering on the lounge room floor that can be taken for free if wanted (in fact you won't be allowed out of the house unless you take it :) ); someone is coming to take a look at the filter on Saturday.

The guy coming today had to pull out due to serious health issues, so it's still available, but will be withdrawn Monday if not sold.
