Hi all,
Here's the space station and STS-130 (Endeavour) passing over Brisbane this evening. Stacked 6 second exposures using my 70-300 telephoto on 70mm, f/4 and 800 iso.
There's another pass tomorrow evening that will occur about 9 hrs after separation (assuming my calcs are correct), so we should be in for a double pass! :)
Cheers,
Stephen

I saw the same pass yesterday, man was it bright,Was the first time i've seen it.I also took some photos .See ISS? thread it was lots of fun.
When you say double pass do you mean that we should be able to see the space shuttle as well .I checked heavens above and it says that it will be mag -1.6 still pretty bright.i'll check it out thanks.
Clear skies

Thanks Frank, Orestis and Trevor!
That's correct Orestis. Did you get a look tonight? We had about 95% cloud at the time :(, which ruined my hopes of capturing what could have been a great image. Still, I did get a couple of glimpses of the 2 spacecraft speeding along together (about 5 degrees apart) through small gaps in the cloud, which was a great sight (and a first for me).
Hopefully we'll have another opportunity during one of the last 4 remaining missions.
Cheers,
Stephen

I'm glad you got a look stephen must of been an amazing sight.
I had the camera set up and it was partly cloudy but as i was looking i didn't have a clock and completly missed it .i don't know what happened i think it was probally in the cloud most of the time.
Just wondering was the space shuttle the same mag or was it dimmer?
Well better luck next time
Orestis;)
