My wife and I went outside a few minutes before and she spotted it climbing into the sky from a distance, definite redish colour, maybe at mag 2. Then it quietly sailed higher and higher into the sky getting steadily brighter and whiter. After about a minute it was a steady white with a slight yellow tinge, not quite as bright as Venus, for a couple of minutes before it started fading steadily as it sunk lower in the sky. I guess it finally dropped out at around mag 3 and a definite red colour again, but not as pronounced as when it first appeared.

Does anyone know when the shuttle is supposed to return? We caught it once just after they had separated and watched the two chase one another over the sky.

-3.2 mag tonight in perth first time ive seen it was amazing :D im re-kindled my love for astronomy in 3 mintues haha just need to get a new mount now seeing as my is broken :(

Had a lovely pass just after 9pm last night (17/2) Very bright, started in SE and moved across entire sky before disappearing to ENE. Easily the brightest I have ever seen it, Heavens Above gave mag as -3.1 :eyepop::eyepop:
