I almost popped a vein when I read this:
http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-national/controlled-burning-to-begin-this-week-20100215-o07y.html
Just in time for the clear weather forecast on ALL of my 4 days/nights off.
Thanks again Defartment of Suckstainability and Embers.

It's enough to make you sell your equipment, isn't it?
Desperation setting in.

I hope it's a Southerly wind !
Tonight is clear and no burning off.
So get your gear out and start doing something with it :P
Last night was good too (2 night's in a row good weather) and whinging about the weather all the time doesn't really help :)

Shoudn't all thread starters about crap weather get a lashing then?

Its a frustrateing yet integral part of the interest.. if a little venting on the subject isn't right from time to time .. then why so ?
Look i dont mind people venting about the weather, but venting in every post about the weather on this forum?
And that when we had very clear nights a lot of times recently and now again two night's in a row?
Well i will go to my scope now and make a load of flats for tonight (hmm no i can't because Melbourne is in a permanent nuclear winter :P ).
Just kidding but whinging THAT much is not good, there is complaining and going overboard with it.
Just my two cents, and now i will leave every post about the weather alone for ever.
Whinge on :hi:

onshore winds generally bring cloud...so that's not ideal.

5.30am wakeup.....and 5.30am wakeup the last couple of nights aswell  There is no way I can wait until 10;30 to get dark, then observe until 12 or 1 and then expect to function the next morning on the doorstep of a 12 hour day.
And no, DSE burnoffs is NOT "weather", hence this is NOT whinging by any stretch of the imagination, I just had to vent some steam about these burnoffs that ruin observing just as I get to chance to finally go out.
I will now request that this thread be closed or deleted.
