Just curious if anyone down under is watching the winter olympics...
I believe that Australia has gotten at least 1 medal so far...

No Scott, I haven't been. I guess there's a late night coverage, but seems to be little else. Not that I watch a lot of TV anyway...
I did catch that we'd got a silver in the moguls on the news though.

I've got all channels tracking in HD on Foxtel and the quality is excellent. We were so close on that medal! We actually had it for a bit but then a Canadian got a slightly higher score. Still a great achievement though.

Trying to watch as much as I can, I haven't skiied for 20 years but I still get a buzz thinking about it.
Shame it's on so damn late, IMO not excusable given the number of additional channels on digital and where the hell are Roy & HG??

I'm trying to but curses on the 16 hour time difference! I don't have foxtel so I'm relying on Ch9 and they're hardly showing anything, I'm very disappointed. There's stuff on in the morning but I'm at work, then at night it doesn't start until 9.30-ish, round about bed time, then when I do get to watch they're just interviewing people. Show me some action! I would love to watch all the events, not just the ones the Aussies are in. Its about the only time I get to see snow sports and I look forward to it, but feeling let down at the moment.:mad2:

My wife's watching them now. She digs hunky twenty-somethings on Snowboards.
I used to own part of a chalet at Whistler. I sold my bit when I moved to London. I've stayed close to one of the other 2 guys, and he's cheerfully informed me that they've rented it out for $100,000 for 2 1/2 weeks!:mad2::sadeyes:
I think I'll watch 'Gray's Anatomy' instead.

GOLD for Australia!!! :D:cool::thumbsup::2thumbs::party: Torah Bright took the lead in the Women's Snowboard Halfpipe Final when she started the round of second runs. She got 5.9 on her first where she crashed out but returned with 45/50 on the second, where she had to watch the other competitors run the course, hoping her score would hold. It certainly did and it delivered her the Gold Medal. Congratulations Torah!
