View Full Version here: : Dr Who & Monty Python
A heads up everyone, there's some great viewing on the ABC tonight.
First up at 7:30 there's Dr Who, I think it's the last one with David Tennant as the Doctor.
Then straight after that is a Monty Python doco aptly named "The Lawyers Cut"
Should be a great evenings viewing.
Cheers :)

I hope part II of Dr Who improves - departure set up or not - I found part I best summed up as lame. I really like DT as the doctor - maybe this final had too much hype, because it barely went anywhere...

I grew up(?) with everyone imitating MP scketches and was thouroughly bored of them by the mid 80's. Maybe its having not seen them for 20 years but last night's show reminded me of how funny they are / were.
Don't know about this new Doctor fella tho'...........

I know what you mean. For the last two years of high school we couldn't enter a room without someone asking 'Is this the right room for an argument?' We all knew the best skits word perfect so we carried on until the teacher managed to regain control.

"He used... sarcasm. He knew all the tricks: dramatic irony, metaphor, bathos, puns, parody, litotes and... satire. He was vicious."
Hilarious!

A great show. Was it a one-off doco, or a series? Although I thoroughly enjoyed it, it did only cover the formation/MP series. Would be great to see it cover the "movie era" of MP.

Yep, there's a second part next week

I believe the second part of MP covers the movie era.
I thought part one of Dr Who was very good, after all they are building up the story as oppose to the usual 1 hour fast paced story.

I loved monty python and last time I saw some sketches, they left me a bit cold, but I really enjoyed them on Sunday.
And I thought the Dr Who? was just brilliant. I like David Tennant as the Doctor but I think John Simm is absolutely superb as the master. And the last scene with everyone as the master, including in dresses was fantastic. I think they have lost an opportunity to have Catherine Tate as the Doctor - now that would be different.

Also thought Dr Who wasn't that bad. Had my daughter in stitches seeing all the Master clones, funny in a twisted way :)
