Hi all, my efforts are a bit embarrassing when compared to Dennis, but I am pretty happy how the capture went today. I did better than yesterday sheltering in a little cardboard humpy in the back yard, and dodging the clouds.

Hi Tony

I’d be proud of these images – they are technically very good and also beautiful to look at. I really enjoy seeing the full solar disc shots showing the location and size of the visible sun spots. You’re doing some really nice work with the 4” Vixen.

Are these all single exposures, or did you manage to bang a few off and stack them?

Like you, I was out there today, sweating and getting a little fried! The pesky clouds kind of interrupted the work flow, but also gave me a reason to pack up and get indoors for some relief, respite and rest!

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks Dennis.

This first post a manual stack of 3 of the last images I took today. I'm stacking a few in Registax as I write... I'll see how they pan out.

Well it is certainly smoother, less grainy and some other noise has gone. Not sure if there more detail, and I haven't dropped the saturation as much in this one... a warmer image?

Certainly was warm today.
