Suns disk visible light 12/02/2010

Hi all,

I have been hanging out to image the action on the Sun since AR11045 appeared, but didn't have a chance until this morning, what with cloud and work.

Looks like more action will be coming around in the northern hemisphere.

Nice work Tony. I tried for some shots yesterday (Thursday) but was thwarted by the clouds. Nice to see that Acacia Ridge had the clear spot!

Nice captures. Grey cloud here in London for next 3-4 days so no imaging.

Thanks Dennis, this means a lot coming from the Master himself (I am not worthy:prey2:)

I find that the image size of the full frame doesn't to any justice of the detail captured. This method seems to allow detail where needed and still give the overall effect.

Not sure if I have the energy to do any Mars tonight, but I will try to get my Sol tomorrow.

Thanks Malcolm. Hope the weather improves. Winter in Australia allows us to see the centre of the Milky Way overhead, and generally has clear nights. You will have to visit us for one of our astrocamps sometime.
