Almost didn't post this image as the fog played havoc during the imaging run!

Thought I might as well post it becuase looking at the cloud about its probably going to be a long time between drinks anyway!

Image details as follows

Rosette Nebula

DSI III PRO LRGB 35:15:15:15 (3.5min subs) ED80 guided. PS curves (lots as this target is not very bright and the fog didnt help)

Not the best but will definately try again (Full LRGB + HA) when the cloud and moon go next month (hopefully).

Paul,

That is not too bad at all. There is still a fair bit of data in there.

Inspite of the fog, this is a very sharp image Paul.
May the fog be with you (hmm have to stop watching sci fi) :)

A lovely image Paul, the central cluster really jumps out at you.

Top stuff.

Rightly said Mike. Sometmes we get too close to our images and miss the point!

Thanks Trevor, very encouraging.

Thanks frank. based on these comments I might even simply add some Ha to this image rather than take a full set of LRGB!

Thanks.

Cheers

Thanks Marc..

Cheers Ric. The central cluster does stand out, but I can see a small halo coming from the green and blue filter which concerend me. I am hoping its the Fog accentuating this but think it might be my new filter wheel distance :mad2:.

Nothing wrong with this image Paul, you have actually managed to capture quite a bit of detail without over saturating the star cluster in the core. You have also managed to impart the feeling of depth in the core.

Well done.
