Kind of irks me that my Allans order, sent express mail was opened by an inspector (seemingly because no sender was indicated) and then put back into a regular mail envelope, making guaranteed next day delivery next week, instead.

Worth complaining about to the post office? Probably not.

I would because you paid for express delivery.

Most express post goes by Air, if the safety declaration isn't signed it goes road, If the declaration wasn't signed perhaps that's why it was opened or late.

Nothing domestic although customs keep nicking my Xmas "foie gras" imports :P Only happened lately though. My mum's contrebande usually makes it through.

All the CD'S/DVD'S I get sent to me are always opened, no matter who sends them:mad2:

Not just opened, but ravished and assaulted. Sent a LiOn battery to another member, and foolishly described as "camera battery'.
Actually got a chewing-out from the rozzers.
Why this should be I don't know, as cameras/batteries are sent through the post on an industrial scale.
Lithium ion batteries: the next WMDs?

PS: Mark - will pay 'crack' money for unpasteurised Foie Gras! AQIS has probably realised how good it is and is hoarding it along with my Campesian saucissons!

Yes but didn't get a razzlin from anyone. I bought a set of 20x80 bino's from Sydney and the package had been opened and resealed by someone in the post office recently. As explained by PO it was for security reasons.

I doubt I would have a leg to stand on as far as complaints to the post office, as upon further investigation, the andrews employee forgot to put the sender address or sign the security declaration :)

I hope I get universal credit for those clouds on the weekend, still. I did my time, damnit.

Batteries should me marked as such and explicitly listed for road freight only. Nokia sent packaging marked that way in huge lettering when they did a battery recall.
