Hi all!

Thought I would share, an interesting moonrise from last night.
I was treated to atleast 4 kinds of clouds at different levels and a fine covering of mist / low cloud which added a some-what painted quality.

Thanks for looking, any comments or critique welcomed.

Nice...strangely disorientating...it gives me a feeling of being upside down. Beaut texture in the clouds.

Thanks Baz!!

I have to climb a large tree to get onto my roof for this view. I carted the tripod up the tree also this time, so I could do some long exposures.

Great pic Mitchell .... has an almost 3D quality about it .... I can see some of Olgas clouds there ;)

Thanks! Neither have I. This is shot looking west, the moon is just out of frame to the left, just as it is breaking the horizon. I believe the effect is from the moons light starting to pollute the whole sky. The fog amplified the glow effect across the sky. The colours to the right of frame in the "red" clouds I believe is, the ambient light left from the sun setting, though it was a fair bit after sunset.

Thanks! I'm think a 3d quality is a good thing? :) Sorry I guess I am a bit dim, but i'm missing the "Olgas clouds" comment.. ?

.... sorry, we are pretty Olga orientated up here (ex tropical cyclone) but she has now spread her spirally arms of cloud and moisture over NSW and into Victoria now :D

Oh ok, I did check Google and saw TC Olga, still wasn't sure if that is what you meant. :)

I love to spend a couple of hours just watching and snapping...better than TV...just watching the play of light and shape.
