Fould this little globular while browsing through Star Atlas pro maps, so i thought Id capture it.

10 inch f5.6, Eos 300D, 2 x 3 mins ISO 800, hand off axis guided, baader Coma Corrector, no filter. Sky fairly poor, some high cloud and a fair bit of sky glow, and distant lightning. Cropped and downsized.

Good work Scott is hard to get anything the whole country seems to be under a cloud.. and I dont mean the new Work Place legislation. One would be disappointed if you took a trip to a dark site in the out back as the cloud cover seems to be inland as well.

Yes the cloud over Newcastle miracously cleared up,on dusk, unlike Howards crummy IR laws lol. Mind u it wasnt for long, later in the wee hours a roaring southerly came through with low cloud and drizzle.
For the off axis guiding I use a 2.8x barlow and a 12 mm illuminated recticle eyepiece, a hand control with fast and slow buttons connected to the R.A. drive corrector, and manual slow motion for dec corrections.
