I have used the AP0.67 fr on a LX200R 12" and 10" RC a lot to great effect (many others do too), its seems to suit nearly any high f compound scope. It was better than the Meade 6.3 IMO (and some of around 4 yrs ago Meade frs , including mine, were faulty, manufactured incorrectly) .

As Fred says. Meade/Celestron f/6.3 or Meade f/3.3 reducers were what I was going to suggest.

David, I just triped up on this, he uses a Celestron f6.3 on an RC and a pic of a test result, he thinks its fine. http://www.hiddenloft.com/notes/rc.htm (scroll down)

Sorry Dave, the link is for a smallish chip, and I didnt use either FLer with a DSLR, I would just try it with the 6.3, it looks promising :D. Would certainly be OK with a qhy8 I would think.
