Pretty clever title, eh? [sigh]

Not the best shots. Having some focus issues with my camera and need to get it calibrated. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...

Took these on the last day of recent North Stradbroke Island trip. Chased these buggers all over the place trying to get closer to them. But all the close shots they were facing/walking away from me. Had to settle for these a little further away but at least facing forwards somewhat.

Quite a challenge to process with white feathers and black bill and eyes. Think I'd prefer them if the eyes were more noticeable.

Thanks guys. I really like birds and want to practise shooting them more. Need some stealth moves to get closer to them without scaring them off.

You need to get yourself on some stilts. That way you'd be a bit more inconspicuous and they'll think you're cool, just like them.

Lovely work.

Hey Troy,
See that ED80 you have.... well, think of it as a 600mm lens.:nerd:

A few examples of bird shots using a 100mm F6 achromat are here (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc28/telemort/Digiscoping/)

Thanks again. I had thought about using scopes. But focusing would be the tricky, no?
