Found this fellow outside and he was just hanging around having a good time. All comments welcome.

Still learning about Macro but it is fun.

Canon 5D MarkII 100mm f2.8 L Macro.

Lovely detail in there Frank.
The 5D MkII has such great colour rendition and check out the beautiful textures both on the spider and the table.

How are you finding the new 100mm macro L?
Must be a wonderful lens to use.

I'm hoping to pick up my new 5D MkII soon too from my mates store, now that the price is at an all time low he can do a great deal on one for me.
I'd love to get the 100mm L too. :D

Mate you've done well with this shot thanks for sharing and looking forward to more.

Andrew.

Thanks for the kind words.

The 5D II is everything that I thought it would be and more.

In addition the L lens is amazing. This spider was less than 10mm across.

The lens is not cheap but I think it was worth the money.

Indeedy, it is a fantastic camera.

Do not let people who proselytize about vertical-, horizontal- banding, black dot problems, <insert random problem here> detract you from this superb instrument. There's no such thing as a perfect camera; each has its merits, pros and cons. To date, this one has been a godsend. Its ability to pick up detail means that you're able to crop specific sections from the full frame and still maintain detail. This is such a boon when it comes to printing.

Hey Frank, next time you get one of these little blokes, try to pick it up and move it to natural surrounds then shoot again. Beaut spider image, spoiled a little if only by the artificial background.

I see by looking at a few photos on terrestrial, that many of us are improving quickly with each other's help.

Keep it up Frank!

Baz.
