Hi folks!

Unbelievable! I bought the G42 mount in October and in January I could use it the first time with the LVI SmartGuider.
The weather was always cloudy or foggy!
But at January 20th, clear sky again at last!!!!
So I wasted no time with learning how to handle the new mount and controller. I had to make an astrophoto :o. For my controller studies I will use the next nights with moonlight.

The conditions were very good. Clear sky and cold (-10°C).
It`s been the first time that I used the off axis pol finder, nice thing!

Here my result:

Nice image but I would have thought there would be a little more information in that much data.

Well controlled.

Nice image but there is a lot more that can be extracted from the data

Nice focus, star field, colours of the stars! Good framing also. The detail is great. Possibly be able to stretch it a bit more! Nice work.

Thanks for your nice comments!

More data, hmm. You might be right.
I think I am only able to increase the brightness and the colors, but I don`t reach more details. And it is very important for me to keep the background low-noise.

Nice sharp detail. Good tight, round stars. If you wind up the colour saturation, it improves it even more. There is also a lot of nebulosity on the left hand side that can be brought out.
