Spent the long weekend over at North Stradbroke Island. Had an awesome weekend, just my wife and I. Relaxing at the bar, taking bush walks, going for swims (with the bluebottles), and baking like a lobster on the beach.
Some landscapes from the weekend.

Hmm, just looked at these from a different computer/monitor and they look a bit oversharpened. Not sure if it's the original monitor or this one, but something's not right.

Reminds me of my old family Easter holidays we would spend a month on South Stradie camping fishing and crabbing

I adore the framing of the fourth one mate (tree). Great series. The red hue in the submerged soil is lovely too.

Thanks Mike, Warren, and Baz.
That 3rd shot is of Brown Lake - the water is brown from all the tannins leaching from the surrounding Tea Trees. The sand you see on the bottom is actually white. I was standing in the lake with my camera 100mm above the water surface. Bit nervous, but wanted the effect.

Thanks Frank, Andrew, Decepticon, and Andrew.
Sure are plenty of photo opportunities. Got some bird shots too, will have to download and process tonight.
