A lesser known nebula in the LMC.
180m L=R, 60m R, 60m G, 60m B, ST-10XME and BRC-250 scope.
http://users.westconnect.com.au/~sjastro/ngc1966nnc.html
There appears to be part of an emission/relection nebula in the lower right hand corner of the image.
I'm not familiar with any reflection nebulae in the LMC.
Does anyone know of it's identity?
Regards
Steven

Lovely Image Steve
I would think that nebula in the lower right is just glowing blue-green from OIII not Rayleigh scattering..?

Thanks very much Alex.
On reflection(;)) you're probably correct Mike. Looks like Henize 76 in the SMC.
Not much info Trevor. Distance 50,000 parsecs.

Top image Steven. That scope can really resolve some faint nebula.

Very nice and as usual something quite obscure. Love looking at them.
Thanks
