;) Can't go through summer without having a go at the treasures in Orion. Here's my attempt on M42 on a warm pleasant night in Perth using a SBIG ST4000xcm and FSQ-106 {2x20min/4x15min/6x10min/8x5min}. Cheers for looking

Very nice, and incredibly sharp! It could probably use a few shorter subs to bring that core back juuuust a smidgen... Funny you should say 'cant go through summer without imaging M42' I made a rule for myself early one morning at the end of spring... I looked to the east and saw Orion rising just before dawn and said to myself... Im going to give that one a miss this coming summer... I think I shot M42 about 35 times last season.. I'm taking this rotation off! :) And next season, No M8/M20/M16/M17... Giving them all the flick too :D

Well it needs a repro Beren  but it shows all the hallmarks of a potentially great image. That's a great FOV for the sword too.
Oh and Alex, I bet you wont be able to resist those objects now you have a whole new outfit with which to shoot'em

Great image Beren really sharp.
Ditto Mikes comment about restarting the catalog when new equipment arrives ... its almost innate.
Once again, beautiful image thanks for sharing.

That looks great! Amazingly sharp details.
Lovely rendition of the ol' favourite Stuart !!
Nice and sharp, my first thought was that all that wispy nebulosity reminds me of fairy floss.
Good work mate.

 Thanks fellas for the feedback, it was nice to try some DSO imaging after concentrating on RGB planetary stuff for a while. I think i let myself down by not getting the focus nice and sharp across all the subs taken {seeing wasn't flash}.
;) I know I know
Cheers and peace
