Hi, took this a couple of nights ago.

First attempt at this object with a DSLR (My last post was the same object but with a CCD).

The image is 1hr and 6 min exposure, all in 6 min subs

The camera is a Moddified Canon 350D

The Scope is an ED80 guided on an LX200gps mount.

Darks, Flats, Flat darks, bias frames applied.

Post processed in Photoshop CS2.

Filter used was a Hutech LPS-2.

Comments welcomed.

Thanks for viewing (Press F11 on keyboard for full view).

Nicely processed (smoothness, contrast, colours). Expected to see a bit more noise from the 6min subs. You must be very happy with that result from 66min using and ED80 and 350D.

Superb work Paul. Giant leap forward. Your best HH to date I reckon. Everything works in that shot.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Very nice Paul. I think you could improve the image overall by winding the red back in the colour balance to equalise the background a bit then maybe stretch the red a bit in curves.

Worth experimenting with. A great transition from the DSI.

Marc - Thanks mate. I am happy with the camera. Being modded it helps in light polluted skies with a LPS filter too!

Doug - Thanks for comments / feedback. As always they are appreciated! Yes, I will take a look at doing that. Shouldnt be too hard achieve.
