On the weekend headed out to tammin, with average wind on the first night of 48km/h with gusts into the 60's and the second night it calmed down to mid 20's my wind beast proformed sweetly. Heat played a big part of the 40d's ability to capture the faint whispy stuff or the lack there of.
15 x 10min ISO 800 Canon 40d
finder guider and dsi for the guiding
ED 80 Progold for the tunes so to speak :D
EQ6 holding the lot
Processed in PS CS3, stacked in DSS
second shot is the Flaming star to which i think i have hit the 40d's limit as it is just too faint. i needed a 3 min ISO 1600 shot just to make out a tiny bit of nebulosity, so mainly i was going on the fact that my pointing accuracy was good and it was.
14 x 10min ISO 800 canon 40d and the rest of the setup was exactly the same as previous
the images are interlaced so they will be a tad blurry untill finished downloading
