Hi all,

I'll be hosting a fellow IIS member this coming Saturday night to help him out with his new scope. I would be able to host one or two more (plus mum or dad as the case be) keen beginners, and meet some fellow IIS members.

This will kick of around 9:30pm from my place in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.

I will go through how to set-up your scope, collimate, what you will see through your scope, and finding stuff in Sydney's sky.

What to bring:

* Your scope and bits and pieces
* Your OWN Mozzie repelant roll-on - Sprays are a no-no with scopes.
*Some type of long sleeve shirt or jumper and beanie - it can get cold if dew comes in (even in Summer).
* Binoculars if you have a pair, no matter what size.

PM me your interest (if not sure how to use Private Message system, make a post here and I'll get in touch). Sorry for the short notice. If this goes well, might do some more.

Mental.

Great idea Alex - I'm sure a lot of beginners would be very thankful for the help and for someone to show them the early ropes.

Sorry for the delay on responding to your PM - will do so this morning.
