View Full Version here: : Eta Carinae closeup with ToUCam

Hi all, yesterday I grabbed a closeup of the Eta Carinae area which I then combined with some data I got back in 2006.
The result was quite pleasing, giving the ToUCam's limited capabilities. There is some reasonable detail all around, and even the fickle finger is quite clear.
Total time is 1hr 35mins (195x20s + 68x26s).
Comments, critique etc much welcome.

Rolf,
That is freaking awesome.
You should do one of the core of M42.

Thanks for your comments everyone :)
Thanks, yes I tried to keep the exposures short to hopefully gain some resolution (I'm imaging unguided...) It seemed to work out ok.
Thanks Humayun. I did a close up of M42 some years ago. I'm confident I can do better now though. I'll try again one of these days, but with many more subs and see what comes out of it.
