Had a quick go at Venus tonight ED80 prime focus with the 350D, not the best, but i'm happy with it, hopefully it can only improve:prey:

Did you try using mirror lockup on the 350D. It looks like you got a bit of shutter release shake.
If you didn't then I would suggest you try it. It's indespensible and a great feature on your camera.

Thanks Andrew, I:doh:Forgot to use the mirror lock up , i must make a list of things to do and have it on hand to check off before i get into imaging.

The clouds look like they are here to stay for the night, so i will have to wait for another attempt.:cloudy:
