Got home Friday after doing some country work {the last of it for a while :drink: } and had two nice surprises ...beautiful clear skies and a ToUcam adapter waiting for me to try . Had the scope set up well before sundown and started experimenting with the ToUcam settings just after 8.30 . Seeing was OK but not to flash but i was able to get some detail on the preview screen through K3ccdtools and soon started capturing AVIs . The image attached are the end results , stacked and tweaked in registax , shame about the soft focus but hopefully by the end of the week i will have something that will help that out :wink2: .Looks like another clear night tonight as well , i think the warm weather is starting in the West :) {Holidays in 4 weeks time :P ]

Hey Beren. Nice shots dude! Good details present too. Your focus is not too far off I don't reckon.

Hi Beren - striking contrast on those martian features there!:)
Do you use the RGB align tab at right during the wavelets stage in Registax (if you're using version 3)? It looks like the red and blue colour channels are a bit separated on these with colour becoming bluish on one limb and reddish on the opposite. Selecting the "estimate" button under RGB align tab might assist rectifying this.
cheers,
Very Nice Beren and theres' lots of detail too.
Well done.

Cheers gang :) Thanks Robert for the tip , i had a go at it but it introduced some strange artifacts but ill continue to muck around with the settings .
Later in the night I used the LPI for some comparison and i couldn't get a image worth showing , the ToUcam is much easier to manipulate and use ...data transfer from the laptop to the PC is a pain though , glad i got a 1 gig key drive :)
{PS: If anyone is thinking of getting a ToUcam check the US dealer OPT -the celestron nextimage is on special for 99US {about 135 AU} }
Pss
attached is a image from last night , clear but to windy
