Another from Sunday night. Much longer exposures needed than 10 min by the look of it. Maybe 15 min next time. A bit more FL would have been useful, but its nice to get a bit of background perspective
Best 11/13 @ 600sec. WO 72FD & SXVF-H9, a bit clipped on the white end after processing.

Nice detail again Paul, I agree longer subs are required and a bit more focal length would help.

Fantastic detail Paul, and a with a good FOV too. Any intention of colouring it?

Thanks Dough. Longer subs shouldn't be a prob with my nice dark skies, as long as the mount and guider are up to the challenge
Not at this stage Keith, though I might come back to it in a couple of weeks and take some RGBs with the 20D and add them together. ATM I'm just playing around and getting the feel of the new observatory and the SX-H9 and WO72 combo.

Nice work Paul - we must invite ourselves up to inspect the new nirvana-like astro-palace!
Cheers

Paul this is a tough target, I am still doing Lum data runs just to top up my image. I think for the average scope this is one of the toughest to get to really shine and have little if any noise. I am looking forward to your end results.

Paul,
I like the image and not bad for 10 minute subs. What software do you use to combine the subs from different imagers?

Most definitely Dennis. Plenty of space to throw a sleeping bag. You would be more than welcome.
Yes I didn't realize how faint it was Paul. But what's life without its odd challenge or two. :)
I'll probably end up using Registar Frank. Its the easiest to use and does a fantastic job. And I've been meaning to buy if for years. But first I'll give Images Plus a go and see how that pans out. Not overly confident with it as I've done it before and it was a bit of mucking around. But that was with V2.75. I'll see how 3.0 goes.

its a bit of a run for me;)
dare i say it - give pixinsight a go - stack in images plus or DSS and save as fit or tiff then bring it into the package
