Thanks for posting these – I have often wondered about the relationship between white light images and their more exotic counterparts and blinking the last 2 frames has illustrated this quite nicely.

Hi Dennis,

It's not really white light, more detuned etalon light. I think it's still filtering out the Ha, just not well.

There is a marked difference though.

Ahh, thanks for that Stuart – I’m not really familiar with the array of modern solar telescopes/filters available to the amateur astronomer these days – I’m still stuck in the dark ages of Baader solar film!:lol:
