New Zealand landscapes

Hi all,

A couple of shots from my recent very short trip to New Zealand for Xmas. These are from around Taupo and the road from Taupo back to Napier. The weather conditions weren't ideal for nature photography, but unfortunately you can't pick the weather on the day you are going to be at some of these wonderful places.

The pink sheep are from Sheepworld which is between Dome Valley and Warkworth on the main highway North of Auckland.

Obvious the locals like to get dressed up. What was the occassion?

brings back memories-I was in the same area and at the same time, and like you visited Huka falls area. The pink sheep certainly catch your eye as you drive by! Never did get out on the lake to view the Maori carvings as you seem to have done

Great photo's John .. especially the rock carvings.

I think its pretty obvious what the pink sheep are .... They are the ewe's !!!
... SIMPLE !!!!! ... Its part of a "quick pic" system.
