Well done, sir. I might just add that the left-hand side of the image looks very green. What's the go there? Also, can you perhaps work on the colour balance -- there isn't much delineation between the Horsehead and the Flame. They should be pretty distinct colours (or hues).

Cheers, and, well done. That's no small feat capturing that much data. I hope to be able to do the same, but, this summer heat is ridiculous.

Cheers Marc - I always struggle with these HaRGB blends to try and tame that salmon pink hue and those sickly off-blue stars. May have to try the ubiquitous repro of the repro!!!!

Yeh that's a nice experiment worth trying but it doesn't quite have the punch that the Ha only had, I recon the Ha only version is a more pleasing and dramatic image all up...:confuse3:in fact it was great :thumbsup:

To get rid of that gradient just lasso it in PS, feather 30pix and adjust the green a tad, it doesn't look all that bad.

Thanks all - and Mike I agree, that region just works in Ha. Remember Peter Ward's Ha mosaic(?) from last years Malins?

Ha data is huge in this image, that much is clearly obvious. However the colour balance just does not look right. Not sure how you are blending but have you considered using the Ha data as Luminence? That might work better. Perhaps slit the RGB data and then combine in something like CCDstack. Create a colour image with the Ha as Lum. It might work better. Although I found that using just Ha on this region did create odd colours and that is why I just went with straight Lum in the end.

Data looks pretty smooth and the image has enormous potential. Just my opinion and ignore it if you like.
