It was quite warm last night so I thought I would go for the low hanging fruit.

M46

Canon 5DH, 100ED at f/7.65 and FL 765mm with Hutech #7887 FR/FF. Hutech LPR filter. FOV approx 3x2 degrees.

Exposures 15X(1m, 2m and 4m) at 1600ISO. Fridge at -5.0C. Usual HDR method. Transparency and seeing both good.

The exposure times are a reflection of the variation in brightness of the objects in either field.

Nice ones there. I can easily see the fainter PN, M1-18 to left of the cluster ngc 2437 in the first image as well as brighter ngc 2438.

RCW71 is clearly visible at extreme right of the 2nd image.

Well done Bert thanks for posting the larger frames, actually m46 is on my list too do, I like the planetary you captured in there

Both are quite nice!

Does the Jewel Box/Beta Crucis image have a cyan color bias? Maybe it's just my eyes?

Very nice Bert, Love those little PN's. Does seem to have a bit of a colour cast.

I think you are correct. Here is a version with the red up a bit. I should have learned by now to not process after being up all night.
