And I hear Alice Springs has had more rain to date in 2010 then for the entire 2009! It's not a boring planet - this one on which we live!
Wow, thats an amazing pic Eric !!
Would love to be over the for a look ..... but would be chaos for tourists at the moment :scared2:
I have friends who were visiting rellies in England, and have luckily made it to Paris on Eurostar, but soooooo many have been delayed.

My son sent me the same link and some local photos, he lives near Manchester and its been down to -17 :cold:at night.
I can remember that much snow some years in the 50s and 60s but not so cold.

Is that from the movie "The Day After Tommorrow"? :D
That's one hellava cold snap!
Parts of the USA where we are going gets down to -20 over night.
The snow seems to have abated, but the cold air is really frigid.
Funny thing in the paper today, Florida has issues with Iguana's falling out of tree's due to the cold.
So we have the "Drop Bears" and they have the "Drop Iguanas"

I have read a lot of articles about Ice ages and I think we have about the same conditions when the last Ice Age struck, in one of the articles a scientist wrote an Ice Age can happen in 5 years or less it doesn't take long to get one

Maybe it is Earth way of balancing the extremes.
