Its been difficult to get out and do any photography,with all the damp

weather.i took these just outside our front gate,these are difficult to

get close too,i hope these may be of interest

a comment.Yes Barry-these wrens are very difficult to take a photo of

as they are much more shy than the blue wrens here,The blue wrens hop around our house,stay still for just a few seconds to get a shot
away,the red backs-i have been trying along time to get pics like these

they stay in bush land,they move so much more faster than the blues,and difficult to get close to.

Well Dennis,you will just have to tell N'relle that it was your coaching that gave me better ability to take nature photos,and without it i would'nt be taking these type of pics!so thanks for all of your

Lovely images Chris. Great shot of the youngster, love it's big gangly feet. Good exposure of the adult, it retains all the feather detail in the black.

Barry, you can digiscope with a DSLR. This can get you in close without upsetting them too much. Just think an ED80 with a 2x barlow or teleconverter is about a 1.2m lens.:D
